We hear it every January "New Year, New Me!!" but what about your hair? Surely that is included as a part of that saying, I mean after it is a piece of "me", right?
I'm going to share with you today 2 of my favourite hair transformations from over the past 12 months. The First is a regular client of mine whom I've had the pleasure of looking after for 4 years now and the second is a client I was blessed with the opportunity of correcting a salon colour gone wrong (everyones worst nightmare).
My gorgeous client Pearl has been loyal follower for 4 years now and she has basically let me have free reign over her hair the entire time and we always have a blast and she always looks stunning afterwards. For the past 3 years we have been busting our guts to make her grow and like many of us, she wants to be as blonde as possible and have stunning long flowing hair. So she has come to visit me this week for a new hair transformation and I can't tell you how excited I am.
We have started off with her usual 6 week regrowth and we usually do a half head of highlights on her shoulder length hair. Today however, we are going through and giving her a natural level 6 root stretch and balayage through her ends using a powder lightener with Olaplex. We have then toned with an ash toner and proceed to cut and blow wave. If you thought giving Pearl a fresh balayage was the highlight of my day wait for what we did next. I then work my way through the hair applying a full head of Tape-in Extensions to achieve those long luscious hair dreams and how amazing does it look? Throughout this entire process I have used on O&M colour and products.
This next client was unfortunately the result of balayage gone wrong. There is nothing worse than feeling a clients pain when they come to see you with a hair disaster that should never have happened. But there is no greater feeling than being blessed with the opportunity to fix it for them. So here I slowly worked my through this clients hair applying a natural level 7 lowlight throughout the hair to blend out any demarcation through the roots and mid lengths followed by a powder lightener with Olaplex (for added security) to highlight and blend into the new natural root area then leaving it all to process. I then did an Olaplex treatment at the basin followed by toning and blow waving to achieve a stunning caramel and honey sun kissed look. I was so happy with the result and she was over the moon which really made my week.
Hair transformation are the highlight of every stylists day but they aren't a regular visit to the salon. These visits usually require added time and costs compared to your general maintenance. If you are thinking about a change I highly recommend booking a free consultation so we can work out exactly how we are going to achieve that new dream hair. I'm pretty sure none of us want a hair disaster this year, I know I don't lol.
